Cornwall neighbors, I'm excited to be running for re-election to the Cornwall Town Board because, like you, I care deeply about our town's future. For the past 25 years, Cornwall has been my home — a place where my husband and I raised our daughter who graduated from CCHS before heading off to college and law school.
I believe in preserving the charm, character, and strong sense of community that make Cornwall so special. My passion for this town has driven me to serve in many ways, and I’d be honored to continue that work with your support.
As an educator for over 23 years, I’ve dedicated my career to shaping young minds. For the past decade, I’ve also been a proud USTA member and tennis coach, sharing my love for the sport with students of all ages — from preschoolers to high schoolers — right here in Cornwall! Additionally, I coach the James I. O’Neill Varsity Tennis teams in Highland Falls.
Teaching and coaching have reinforced the values I bring to public service: patience, teamwork, and the ability to listen and collaborate to achieve meaningful results. These skills are critical in local government, where thoughtful leadership and community-driven decision-making matters. Importantly, I love engaging with the incredible people of our town. Whether at the farmers’ market, a local event, or over coffee at one of our lovely cafes, I’m always eager to hear your ideas, concerns, and hopes for Cornwall’s future.
Let’s keep working together to make Cornwall an even better place to live, work, and play. Feel free to reach out to me anytime at rokhsha47@gmail.com — I’d love to chat.
I hope to earn your support on Election Day, Tuesday, November 4, 2025!
I ❤️ Cornwall
